VIVA is Growing!
Hello VIVA friends!
Last night, some of the students slept over at VIVA to spend time brainstorming and sharing their stories. We had the chance to get to know each other better sharing our family history. It was a great time to bond and be vulnerable with one another.
These are the kids that we see being the ones sharing about VIVA and spreading the word of the work we are doing here in this community. After our time of sharing, we watched the movie Big Fish, which is about a man who finds himself in a place where he understands that, in order to grow, he needs to go to a bigger place. He says that the goldfish stays small if it is in a small water bowl, but if the water bowl is bigger it can grow four times more. Based on that story, the students sat down to brainstorm about things we can do to grow. The list goes from talks about alcoholism to culinary classes and making t-shirts for VIVA, as well as teaching some of the VIVA classes in regular schools. GOOD STUFF!
We want you to know that there is lot happening at VIVA this year, and we are looking forward to having more partners that can support VIVA and also come and join us in this endeavor.
Please feel free to donate through our facebook page VIVA Relevante or through Venmo @vivarelevante. Any amount helps us grow bigger.
